"Winner Fake All" is the fifth episode of Season 2 of Squirrel Boy, and the thirty-first episode of the series overall. It first aired on February 16, 2007.

Summary[]

Andy gets tired of losing at a complicated game, until Rodney actually lets him win.

Plot[]

Andy and Rodney are playing "Flying King Footloaf", a random made-up game involving kicking a football, hitting it with a baseball bat-like object, shooting an arrow into the football, jumping up from a trampoline and throwing the football into a basketball hoop without falling into a cheese grater or barrel of water, going through rubber tire obstacle courses, ziplining on a clothes hanger line and trying to aim noseplugs into a bowl of cottage cheese, and going down a slide while aiming waffles on the rooftop. Unfortunately for Andy, Rodney has won for the umpteenth time. Andy is then shown laying on his bed staring at the wall. Rodney suggests many games for them to partake in, but Andy objects to all of them and wants to be left alone. Rodney then walks into the kitchen and smells Mrs. Johnson's cooking, and slurps from a noodle bowl. Mrs. J then gives advice on how Rodney can let Andy win their game this time. The scene then changes to Andy and his dad playing chess, with Mr. J putting confidence in Andy that he'll win. When Mr. J asks where the kings are, Rodney puts a bag of them on the table and tells Andy that they're going outside to play another game of Flying King Footloaf, with Rodney assuring Andy he'll win this time.

Andy tallies up his score and realizes he won, much to his surprise, thanks to Rodney intentionally disregarding the rules to make Andy win. He brags to Rodney about winning and Rodney losing, which makes Rodney feel inferior. Andy continues rubbing his success in Rodney's face before going into the garage to dig up his old "Winner" jacket to put on. Rodney experiences a crisis with his consciences because Andy only won due to Rodney letting him on purpose. The scene then changes to Mr. Johnson coming home while Mrs. Johnson is boiling noodles, and Andy storming in the kitchen to announce that he won. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson congratulate him for his final success. Rodney then appears to make an angry announcement, but Mr. and Mrs. J angrily stare at him. Andy continues boasting to Rodney about his mojo and Rodney subtly breaks the truth to him about losing on purpose to make Andy feel better, emphasizing that seeing Andy praised while he's called a loser makes Rodney furious. Andy dismisses Rodney and acknowledges his frustrations while continuing to feel desire to compete with others. He then sees Kyle and Salty Mike digging through his trash cans and they offer to let him join a game of "Break Something". Rodney persuades him into denying the offer, but Andy accepts.

The game involves breaking glasses of milk sitting on the fence using nothing but stones. Salty Mike puts on a wager that involves Andy giving up his special watch if he loses. As the game ends, Kyle and Salty Mike have won and head off taking Andy's watch as part of the wager. They are then arrested by the "Dairy Police" for stealing milk. Meanwhile, Andy is in disbelief that he lost, and puts the blame on Rodney, denying any fault of his own due to his mojo elbow. Rodney then breaks it to Andy blatantly this time that he let Andy win at Flying King Footloaf and that Andy couldn't win naturally if Rodney had everything but his back tied behind his back. Andy dares him to play again and Rodney accepts.

After a tedious rematch, Rodney proves his lack of competence when it comes to the game and Andy finally wins this time without letting him (or at least it seems). Andy declares that he really can win if he is motivated, like by proving Rodney wrong. Andy then tries to make up a clever story about what happened to his watch, but Rodney says what they need is a rematch. As he goes up to make new waffles for the game, he falls into the waffle maker and asks for help as the episode ends.
